Les 5 et 6 juin 2025, l\u2019Union des Mouvements de R\u00e9sistance Luxembourgeois (UNIOUN) a officiellement particip\u00e9 aux c\u00e9r\u00e9monies comm\u00e9moratives du d\u00e9barquement des US Rangers \u00e0 la Pointe du Hoc, en Normandie. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement majeur rend hommage au courage exceptionnel des soldats am\u00e9ricains qui, le 6 juin 1944, sous le commandement du colonel James E. Rudder, escalad\u00e8rent les falaises abruptes du promontoire afin de neutraliser les positions allemandes. Une mission h\u00e9ro\u00efque qui entraina de lourdes pertes et co\u00fbta la vie \u00e0 de nombreux hommes : le soir m\u00eame du Jour J, seuls 90 des 225 Rangers engag\u00e9s \u00e9taient encore en \u00e9tat de combattre.<\/span><\/p>

Pour repr\u00e9senter l\u2019UNIOUN lors de cette 81\u1d49 comm\u00e9moration, trois membres du Conseil avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s : Francy Risch, Marc Trossen et Claude Weber.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Le 4 juin au soir, une soir\u00e9e conviviale fut organis\u00e9e par les h\u00f4tes fran\u00e7ais en l\u2019honneur des d\u00e9l\u00e9gations pr\u00e9sentes. Cinq militaires am\u00e9ricains \u2013 dont un colonel \u2013 y participaient, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de repr\u00e9sentants de la commune de Cricqueville-en-Bessin, parmi lesquels Madame la Maire, Pascale Vibet Le Devin, ainsi que Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Piret, pr\u00e9sident du comit\u00e9 d\u2019organisation des festivit\u00e9s \u00e0 la Pointe du Hoc. Les trois d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s de l\u2019UNIOUN figuraient \u00e9galement parmi les invit\u00e9s.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

L\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi, des c\u00e9r\u00e9monies officielles se d\u00e9roul\u00e8rent sur le site historique de la Pointe du Hoc. De nombreuses autorit\u00e9s civiles et militaires fran\u00e7aises et am\u00e9ricaines y assist\u00e8rent. Un g\u00e9n\u00e9ral am\u00e9ricain, Madame la Maire de Cricqueville et Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Piret \u2013 \u00e9galement membre de l\u2019UNIOUN \u2013 prirent la parole devant un large public compos\u00e9 notamment de repr\u00e9sentants de la R\u00e9sistance fran\u00e7aise.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Le 6 juin, notre d\u00e9l\u00e9gation participa \u00e9galement \u00e0 un moment particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9mouvant au cimeti\u00e8re am\u00e9ricain de Colleville-sur-Mer. Des enfants de Cricqueville y d\u00e9pos\u00e8rent des fleurs sur les tombes des US Rangers tomb\u00e9s sur le territoire de leur commune, perp\u00e9tuant un geste de gratitude interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnelle.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Par sa pr\u00e9sence, l\u2019UNIOUN a souhait\u00e9 t\u00e9moigner de son attachement au devoir de m\u00e9moire et saluer le sacrifice des hommes qui ont permis la lib\u00e9ration de l\u2019Europe.
